ATLANTA, April 24, 2018 – Milk on My Mind will share the benefits of milk and educating fans about the importance of dairy farming at the Athens Orthopedic Clinic (AOC) Twilight Event, a nighttime cycling race that brings professional cyclists and fans from around the world to Athens, Georgia on April 27-28.

“With more than 30,000 attendees, the Twilight event poses a great opportunity to encourage athletes and fans to include dairy as part of a healthy lifestyle,” said Tim Camp, board chairman of Georgia ACCM. “All natural and packed with protein, milk is one of best recovery drinks for athletes. We look forward to showcasing how athletes can incorporate dairy into their regimen.”

Visitors to the Milk on My Mind booth can spin-a-wheel for fun prizes and Publix, a supporter of the Milk on My Mind Campaign throughout Georgia, will hand out fresh, cold samples of regular and chocolate milk.  Catch the Milk on My Mind team live on social media throughout the race, follow @MilkOnMyMind on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

The Georgia Department of Agriculture’s Commodity Commission for Milk (GA ACCM) launched the Milk on My Mind campaign in June 2017 to encourage people to drink cow’s milk and incorporate dairy into their daily lives. The campaign is funded by the Dairy Farmers of Georgia and creates conversations with consumers about milk and dairy farming.

The Milk on My Mind campaign (milkonmymind.com) is an initiative of the Georgia Department of Agriculture and the dairy farmers of Georgia to spread the word about the importance of milk, educate the community about where their milk comes from, and to show Georgians why milk is always on our minds.
